Big Big City EP - 2021

In June 2017 I moved from South Africa to London and my world opened up dramatically. I began a deep process of self-development and healing and remembered a innate love for the city (from an earlier time of living there).

 

Then came 2020 and all the fear, anger, grief, boredom, wonder and weirdness, which fueled my creativity.

The title track Big Big City came to me in one fluid rush, channeled rather than written, and became the central theme around which all these songs sat.

These tracks were recorded during a gap in lockdowns in late 2020 at The Church Studios in North London with the wonderful Tom Bright - whose belief in me was just what I needed at the time. 

​

We didn't have much budget or time so we kept it simple and let the songs shine. Perhaps one day I will record some more layered versions of my favourites from this EP.
